Our History From humble beginnings in 1993 as a two man operation to our new modern facility in Netley we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment to consistently deliver outstanding results. A commitment to quality outcomes, innovative techniques and personalised service has given fivestar the edge in a competitive world. fivestar offers a comprehensive range of services from design through to print. We care about the environment Fivestar is well aware of the impact the printing industry has on the environment. We are committed to reducing the use of hydrocarbons, chemicals, water and the wastage of materials. Inks - Solvent based inks have been replaced by vegetable based products. Roller wash - Chemical usage has been drastically reduced, with automated roller and blanket wash systems only the required amount of wash is used eliminating the large quantities of waste requiring disposal. CTP - fivestar use 100% digitally produced plates. At present we are in the interim of changing to processor-less plates. These plates eliminate the use of chemicals and water. To us this is the way of the future and we will lead the way with this technology. Recycling - all paper and cardboard waste is automatically collected and piped into a compactor and collected by AMCOR RECYCLING. Plastic waste is recycled by Envirologix. Aluminium products are collected and recycled by Siltech International. Drums are removed and recycled by Adelaide Drum Recyclers and hard rubbish is collected by SITA Environmental Solutions. fivestar are the first A1 offset printer to put a water recycler on there plate making machine saving over 2.5 million litres per annum in water, that’s 80% more than our competitors! Here at fivestar we really do want our environment to survive. We are committed to helping the rest of the industry by working with the Government department Zero Waste and PIAA to lead the way and provide information to others.
